Dave is an Expert Leader at Lumorus and Senior Advisor  specialist in EDI Leadership and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). 10 years of experience in management and research in private and public sector organisations globally.  He brings an intersectional and critical perspective to his work, which grows from his deep understanding of contemporary and historical structural inequalities and ways in which they operate in societies. 

He adopts a strategic, person centered approach in supporting organisations to operationalise transformational positions and methodologies in creating and sustaining intersectionally diverse and inclusive ecosystems. Dave has several publications pertaining to inclusive leadership, racial justice, equality and inclusion, educational psychology, occupational justice and social justice.​

Dave also conceptualised and developed the novel set of Culturally Sensitive Organisational Environment Scales (CSDES) as tools to assess whether an organisation is culturally sensitive, in order to create and sustain more culturally sensitive working environments.

As Lumorus’ CEO and Corporate Governance Expert, Romeo brings a wealth of experience from his non-executive and chair roles, as well as his extensive work in board evaluations and governance reviews across various organizations. He possesses a deep understanding of the regulated landscape, encompassing the public, private, and third sectors. Romeo’s expertise extends beyond traditional governance frameworks, as he holds a PhD in Corporate Ethics and Corporate Governance/ESG, empowering him to guide organizations towards ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible practices.

Romeo’s academic achievements are complemented by his distinguished professional background. He holds dual master’s degrees in supply chain operations and finance & Trade from Cass Business School, offering a unique blend of operational acumen and financial acuity. Romeo’s insights are enriched by his experience as a senior executive at renowned global companies. He has held strategic roles at Accenture, where he honed his skills in strategy consulting, and Rosslyn Analytics, where he served as the COO and played a crucial role in the Executive Committee. Additionally, as the Senior Director – Special Projects at Mitie Group PLC, Romeo was entrusted with key responsibilities in mergers and acquisitions, showcasing his proficiency in driving successful business transformations.

Romeo’s commitment to corporate social responsibility is evident through his active involvement in charitable initiatives. As the Chair of Wandsworth Oasis, the UK’s second-largest HIV charity, he leads efforts to make a lasting impact on the community. Romeo’s dedication extends globally, as he serves as a trustee of Youth Business International, an esteemed Prince of Wales Charity. Moreover, as the Founder & Chair of the IBRIE Foundation, the social impact initiative of Lumorus, Romeo spearheads transformative projects that empower young people in rural areas of the UK, Ghana, and Jamaica. Recognizing the importance of addressing critical societal issues, he also holds the position of Deputy Chair at the Obrien Dennis Initiative, an organization focused on supporting sexually abused males worldwide.

Romeo is a member of The Governance Institute and The Global Corporate Governance Practitioners Association, two esteemed professional bodies that demonstrate his commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of industry best practices. In addition to his extensive qualifications in governance, risk & compliance, board dynamics, and company secretaryship, Romeo is a qualified executive coach and a highly regarded lecturer in governance and leadership. He has authored several books, further solidifying his reputation as a thought leader in the field.
