John is a seasoned executive and angel investor with a distinguished career in the investment sector. He was the Managing Director of a London-based private investment firm focusing on direct principal investments in mid and early-stage ventures across the UK, Europe, and North America. Additionally, John held the position of General Counsel and Secretary of Golden Falcon Acquisition Corp., a NYSE-listed special purpose acquisition vehicle. 

John’s achievements include co-founding Deed, an initiative that supports transformational and underrepresented founders, thinkers, and influencers. This illustrates his dedication to diversity and empowerment in the entrepreneurial landscape. 

Before his time with Full Circle Capital, John advised on M&A and private equity transactions across New York, London, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He was a co-founder and partner at Epena Law, and prior to this, he held pivotal roles at Hogan Lovells. Furthermore, John started his career at renowned law firms Freshfields and Clifford Chance. 

John’s influence as an active angel investor is profound, particularly in fintech and other disruptive sectors. He co-founded an angel investing network in London, which has backed over 50 companies. Outside his professional endeavors, John serves on the board of the Joyce Theatre in New York and is a member of the Tate Modern’s Africa Acquisitions Committee. He was a trustee of Chineke! for over five years. 

John graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds graduate degrees from Oxford University and Columbia University. He also completed an executive leadership course at Stanford University School of Business. John’s diverse career and contributions to diversity and culture underpin his dynamic professional journey. His accomplishments highlight his commitment to fostering talent, supporting innovation, and endorsing cultural enrichment.
