Ruth Odih is an accomplished corporate governance professional, with experience as an Assistant Company Secretary at Centrica plc and as a Faculty Member at The Corporate Governance Institute. Ruth completed her LLB in Law at Coventry University, where she specialised in contract law, employment law, property and equity, the English legal system, EU law, and constitutional and administrative law. She furthered her knowledge by obtaining a Master of Laws degree (LLM), focusing on Law and Development at The University of Manchester. Her academic background provides a strong foundation for her current role in corporate governance.

She began her professional journey with Hurricane Energy plc, where she served as Assistant Company Secretary and later as Deputy Company Secretary. Since November 2021, Ruth has served as an Assistant Company Secretary at Centrica plc, a leading energy and services company.

In her current position, Ruth assists in ensuring that Centrica plc complies with financial and legal requirements while maintaining high standards of corporate governance. Her responsibilities include dealing with matters relating to the board of directors, its committees, and shareholder relations.
